  • Why did OGS shut down?
    • It was due to multiple factors, mainly due to the degrading mental health after the death of Seán in mid-2022, Along with increasing violence against the LGBTQIA2S+ community globally.
  • Who owns OGS?
    • Sophia Atkinson and Wade Waters
  • Why was OGS founded?
    • OGS was founded to give a platform for LGBTQIA2S+ programmers and creatives.
  • Is OGS a company?
    • OGS is not a company, It is a community of like-minded creators.
  • What happened to Watching Fires?
    • It was binned due to the death of Seán Whonnock, and a substantial licensing dispute between OGS and his estate, as OGS did not own the game files and prototypes. To our knowledge, the files have been discarded.
  • How did Seán Whonnock die?
    • In December 2020 he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma; in July 2022, he went in for Limb-salvage surgery, Due to complications during recovery, he passed away, and no more information than that has been published to us.
  • What happened to Project Firewatch?
    • It was retired, but not discontinued, It can be reopened to the public upon request. This was done because the last big commit was almost 1 year prior, with small commits happening weekly or monthly, So it was set as an archive for the time being.
  • What is the name of our mascot?
    • Their name is Ojer.
